If you love Second chance/Enemies-to-lovers reads, then you would go gaga over My Enemy Next Door.
Jace & Courtney were high-school sweethearts who became close while they were sentenced to detention. Miscommunication resulted to their break up and they had their own perception as to who left whom.
Their second chance came when they were teamed-up to take on a multi-million dollar case for a prestigious law firm in New York.
Jace seized the opportunity to be closer to Courtney again by amping up his flirting and innuendos. Courtney was not having any of it, so she decided to get on Jace’s nerve by pulling petty pranks on him, which triggered Jace’s competitiveness to one-up Courtney and beat her at her own game.
I loved how they interspersed their history with their present so we could see how those scenarios may have affected them.
Another great read from Ms. Whitney G. and a first for Ms. Nicole. Another tandem writers to look forward to.
