Rebel Heir #1 by Penelope Ward & Vi Keeland
Rush Series Duet
Contemporary Romance
April 9th

Helping out a friend in need is good for the soul, right? Being a bartender is no joke, memorizing drink recipes, making them and keeping up with the customers takes experience. But what if that favor you said you’d do for your friend puts you in that situation and you had no clue what goes in with what drink? And to top it all off, there’s this sexy tattooed hunk keeping a close eye on you, and he turns out to be the prick owner you just mouthed off to?
Gia Mirabelli, was stuck in a writer’s block that she can’t find her way out of. She had the creative juices flowing that landed her THE book deal, but then the voices stopped and she can’t even put two words together let alone write an entire novel. The sole reason why she used her advance from the book deal to rent out a summer-share in the Hamptons was for inspiration. And it doesn’t stop there, she had to make a trade with the hot AF owner of the swanky club/restaurant, The Heights, to work as a hostess so she wouldn’t get Riley fired.
Rush, was in trouble. He couldn’t seem to take the sassy and sexy hostess out of his mind. Which was new to him, since he was the kind of guy who was brutally honest, no relationships, just hooking up. But then Gia came along and she turned Rush’s world upside down. She made him believe that he could do it, to try to be the relationship-type of guy.
I fell in love with this book and Rush, hard. And fyi, Rush might be my new book boyfriend. I mean, who could resist a dirty-talking, tattooed bad boy? No one. Not-a-one. I loved the way they interacted with each other, it was like they knew each other for years. No awkward silences, just pure witty and naughty comebacks. And Ms. Vi and Ms. Penelope took the slow burn mantra to a whole new level with this one. I was expecting my phone to go up in flames while reading it, that was how hot those scenes were. Another thing that made me love this book was how they took the time for the characters to get to know each other, to be so out of their minds with wanting to be together as a couple, its not just about the sex. Always a pleasure and an honor to read books from this awesome twosome. I can hardly wait for the next book.
“This guy was gorgeous. Drop dead gorgeous, but he also stood out like a pit bull amongst a sea of poodles. Black leather biker jacket, sun-kissed skin, scruff on his face, dirty blond hair that stuck out all over in a messy way that looked like maybe he’d just had sex. Really good sex.”
“Sometimes the risk of what bad things could happen keeps us from experiencing all the good things life has to offer.”
“No. You’re the girl. I don’t have to imagine anything anymore.”
“You’ve had my love since day one. You’ve had me since day one. I was just too chicken-shit to admit it.”

***Purchsed. :) Just wanted to write a review so that I could express how much I loved this book :)

How to kick off a great summer in the Hamptons:
Snag a gorgeous rental on the beach. Check.
Get a job at a trendy summer haunt. Check.
How to screw up a great summer in the Hamptons:
Fall for the one guy with a dark leather jacket, scruff on his face, and intense eyes that doesn’t fit in with the rest of the tony looking crowd. A guy you can’t have when you’ll be leaving at the end of the season.
Check. Check. Check.
I should add—especially when the guy is your sexy, tattooed God of a boss.
Especially when he not only owns your place of employment but inherited half of the town.
Especially when he’s mean to you.
Or so I thought.
Until one night when he demanded I get in his car so he could drive me home because he didn’t want me walking in the dark.
That was sort of how it all started with Rush.
And then little by little, some of the walls of this hardass man started to come down.
I never expected that the two of us, seemingly opposites from the outside, would grow so close.
I wasn't supposed to fall for the rebel heir, especially when he made it clear he didn’t want to cross the line with me.
As the temperature turned cooler, the nights became hotter. My summer became a lot more interesting—and complicated.
All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn’t see coming.
Rebel Heir is the first book in the Rush Series Duet. Book Two, Rebel Heart, will release six weeks later on May, 22, 2018.
