Stone by Max Monroe

Stone Cold Fox Trilogy Book #1

March 25th

An actress who wants to give justice to the role she’s playing and a cop who’s suffering to acknowledge the truth. Will they able to find a middle ground thru the pain?

Ivy Stone, wanted more for this movie. She wanted to show everyone how strong and courageous Grace Murphy was. To give closure to the ones who loved her and felt the loss without her. Ivy wanted the world to see how a brave young woman put a stop to a man who disguised himself as someone the town could trust, Grace was the only who trusted her instincts which lead to her losing her precious life in exchange of saving others.

Levi Fox, wanted to get away from it all. It was hard enough to go through everyday not having his partner and close friend around. But to be subjected to a reminder of her everyday when he was appointed to be the liaison for the movie, was plain torture. He was mad at himself for not believing Grace when she was the only one who saw the truth. And the most heartbreaking part of it all was, she died in his arms, that no level of being drunk would make him forget.

Enter Ivy, she reminded him of Grace, it felt like they were different and alike at the same time. Of course being a Hollywood actress and the other a policewoman in Cold, MT would do that. Ivy wanted to get closer to him, to ask him questions. Questions that he will never be ready to answer. So he tried to push her away. But Ivy is a woman that you can’t ignore. She’s feisty and strong-willed, things that make it harder for him to stay away.

Kisses to make the lips stop talking, but makes the body feel alive. Kisses that evoke feelings, that breakdown walls you built around you to stop from hurting.

I really loved this book, because of the chemistry as well as being a sucker for crime thrillers. But that cliffhanger though, Max Monroe, OMG. It was really inspiring how passionate Ivy to showing the world what a great woman Grace was. To sacrifice your own life to save others makes her a hero. And I admired Ivy for standing her ground and fighting for what she wants. And of course, Levi, Levi, Levi, an Alpha in uniform with deep blue eyes that tries to hide his true feelings. He’s selfless and humble, and I want to get to know him better. Excited for the second book.

“Because I want to be numb…and with everyone else, I can. But not with you,” I whispered. “You make me feel too much.” -Levi

First, hate. Then, want. But in the end? Heartbreak.

My celebrity life was supposed to be easy, and this movie was the biggest break of my career. But from the moment Officer Levi Fox gave me a speeding ticket on my way into town, he’s been nothing but a thorn in my side.

Dominant. Cocky. Callous.

Midnight blue eyes, a bad attitude, and muscles for days, he’s exactly the kind of man I should avoid.

But as the Cold, Montana Police Department’s official movie liaison, he’s taken up a permanent place in my life that I can’t shake.

We fight. A lot.

Then, we kiss—and my carefully crafted hate toward him no longer feels so much like hate.

I’m falling

falling

falling.

But how often do alpha-jerks cushion the landing?

Note: Levi and Ivy’s story will continue in Book Two—Cold.
